Dawn is also a Barrymore award-winning performer and collaborator with a passion for reading and outdoor adventure. Additionally, she has been spotted at the helm of everything from board meetings to residential construction projects to circus parades. (Thankfully, her appetite for varied shananigans is lovingly tolerated by her spouse, child, and a cadre of pets.)As a theater maker, Dawn has contributed song-writing, script-writing, and choreography to nearly 40 theatrical works in the last 30 years, performing her original solo and ensemble-based work in the US, India, and in the UK. She was one of the first recipients of the Philadelphia Theatre Initiative Independent Artist grant for her 2003 work, Saint Anthony’s Body. Since then, she has also appeared alongside Jonathan Groff at the Public Theater and Bill Irwin at the Philadelphia Theatre Company. For the past ten years, Dawn has focused on collaborations that deeply explore the boundaries between audience and performer/artist.
